Welcome to the MTC!
December 22, 2021
I made it to the MTC y'all! There was a hige snow storm the night before which made things more fun and interesting but i wouldnt change it for the world!
Saying goodbye to my family was hard but I knew that they supported me and I know what I'm doing is right.
I have only been here a couple of days but man have I learned so much! When I got here, I found out my collega (companion) was going to be pretty late because her flight got delayed from the snow so that was crazy but she made it and everyone is so happy to be here in person! Our classes are always a party but we have worked hard as a district to balance having fun and staying focused which is still something to work on but I'm proud of how we've come together and solved problem.
We found out the other night that our district leader is Elder Vanderlinden and he has been a great leader as he has helped us come together and work things out. We also found out that Sister. Cullumber and I have been assigned as sister training leaders which was a lot to take in for us on our second day here. But we are learning to work together to love and care for the needs of those around us especially in our zone!
Something kinda fun: we got to see Gentri live the other night which was so cool! They all talked about their missions and gave us their advice which was very helpful. At the end we got an extra number, so Steven Nelson (their pianist) told us the story of his arrangement of "Be Still My Soul" and it was actually when he was on his mission that he arranged it as a gift to his mom that passed away from cancer when he was out. Learning more about him and that song made it so much more meaningful and it sounded 10x better than I've ever heard it.
This Christmas season is about the Savior, it is about his birth, his life, and his earthly ministry. I encourage all of you who are willing to get to know him, learn about his life and why he made the sacrifices he did and I promise as you do that, this Chriatmas will be a whole lot sweeter and more meaningful!
Merry Christmas everyone!
Love, Zuster Medico
